Piste of art: The amazing 'composite' pictures of skiers performing death-defying mountain stunts
Taken by blending 50 photographs together this picture of a skier hitting three jumps is one of a kind. From hitting a double flat-spin to executing a half-pipe from a jump these pictures show some of the most dramatic ski moves captured in an eye-popping way. By using a photographic technique called 'composite' photography, where a sequence of split-second pictures are blended into one final image a British ski photographer has shown acrobatic skiing at its very best.
Dan Carr is so devoted to the art of ski photography that he left Britain to live permanently in some of the best slopes in the world in British Columbia (BC) on the west coast of Canada.
Despite living in near the ski-capital of North America, Whistler, BC, Dan also travelled to Haines, Alaska, Wanaka in New Zealand, Laax in Switzerland and Niseko in Japan.
