Britain from above: Aerial shots show off the beautiful colours of the UK from the sky at dusk

An incredible collection of dramatic night time pictures have captured cities all over the UK from the sky - making for a truly heart stopping light show. From the bustling capital of London in the south of England to the industrial landscapes of northern towns such as Manchester and Newcastle, Britain from 1,000-feet up is a sight to behold.  These stunning aerial images were captured by photographer Jason Hawkes while he was shooting various assignments across the country in a helicopter. And each photo gives a fascinating insight into the area it has captured - with bright city lights showing off the various mix of architecture, old and new, in a vast array of colours.    Cities like Birmingham display features of grand heritage buildings, such as Victoria Square, integrated alongside modern developments like the stunning Selfridges shopping centre. While Piccadilly Circus is packed with traffic and people going to see theatre shows in London's West End as others enjoy a night time dip in the Thermae Bath Spa's rooftop swimming pool in the centre of the historical city.  Jason Hawkes said: 'I love shooting at night. Cities just spring to life after dusk from the air, and other even very mundane places take on a real surreal look. 'In the last ten or so years lighting and lighting technology has really come moved on. At night cities just seem more cinematic and alive with energy. 'My favourite shot of all is the people in the rooftop pool in Bath. I love the colour and the people give a great sense of scale.' Jason, who lives just outside London, has specialized in aerial photography since 1991 and has produced more than 40 aerial photographic books for publishers.

من العاصمة لندن الصاخبة بالأضـــواء... إلى الطبيعة الخلابة في مانشستر ونيوكاسل

تم إلتقاط مجموعة من الصور الجوية المثيرة ليلاً لبعض المدن في جميع أنحاء المملكة المتحدة من السماء. من العاصمة الصاخبة لندن في جنوب انكلترا الى المناظر الطبيعية الصناعية من مدن الشمال مثل مانشستر ونيوكاسل، بريطانيا من على إرتفاع 1000 قدما في لمح البصر . تم إلتقاط هذه الصور المذهلة جوياً من قبل مصور جايسون هوكس في طائرة هليكوبتر. وكل صورة يعطي فكرة رائعة عن  داخل المنطقة - مع أضواء المدينة الساطعة مزيج من مختلف روائع الهندسة المعمارية القديمة والجديدة، في مجموعة واسعة من الألوان.
