LG to introduce a second Intel-Powered Smartphone at CES 2012?

For those of you who attended CES 2011, you may have visited the LG exhibit and laid your eyes upon LG and Intel’s first Intel-powered smartphone, which ran on Intel’s Atom Moorestown x86 architecture. The processor ran smoothly on the Android device, but the device’s plans to hit the market were ultimately scrapped due to “lack of marketability.” According to Korea Times, LG may be giving an Intel-powered smartphone another chance and will look to introduce it at CES 2012. However, no other details are specified, such as the design of the phone, or whether not the device will even be capable enough to compete with other devices currently on the market. However, the processor, which is Intel’s Medfield ‘system-on-a-chip,’ looks to be extremely promising, as with all of Intel’s other next-generation processors.

"إل جي" تستعد لطرح أول هاتف ذكي يعتمد على معالج إنتل الجديد

تستعد شركة "إل جي إلكترونيكس" لإنتاج أول هاتف ذكي يعتمد على معالج إنتل "Atom-SoC Medfield" النقال الجديد المخصص للهواتف المحمولة والأجهزة اللوحية ويعمل بنظام التشغيل "أندرويد" من جوجل، وسوف يتم طرحه بمعرض "CES 2012" القادم. وقال مدير فرع شركة "إنتل" بكوريا الجنوبية لي هي سونغ إن الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة إنتل باول أوتيليني يخطط لطرح أول هاتف ذكي يعمل بنظام التشغيل أندرويد ويستند إلى منصة إنتل الخاصة وذلك بمعرض الإلكترونيات الاستهلاكية لعام 2012. يُذكر أن أوتيليني سبق أن صرح في معرض "CES" العام الماضي عن تقديم نموذج لهاتف ذكي يعتمد على منصة إنتل النقالة ومن إنتاج شركة "إل جي إلكترونيكس"، ويعتمد على معالج شركة إنتل المعروف باسم "SoC Moorestown" ويعمل مع نظام التشغيل "1Moblin 2" المخصص للهواتف المحمولة التابع لشركة إنتل والذي يستند إلى لينكس، إلا أن هذا الاتفاق لم يتم بالفعل، وانتهى بتخلي الشركتين عن المشروع القائم بينهما والتي تعود لوجود مشاكل في التسويق. ومن المتوقع أن يتم طرح الهاتف الذكي الجديد بالأسواق بحلول شهر مارس المقبل، لكنها لم تفصح عن السعر بعد.
